Privacy Policy for Amonta
Effective date: July 29, 2026
Amonta ("the app", "we", "us") is an expense tracking application for Android, developed by ME Soft World ("the developer"). This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
The short version
Amonta is built to be private. Your financial data never leaves your phone, we have no servers that store your data, and we cannot see your transactions. There are no accounts and no sale of data — ever. The app is free and supported by advertising; ads are provided by third-party ad networks (described below) which never receive your financial data.
1. Information stored only on your device
The following data is created by you and stored locally on your device only. It is never transmitted to the developer or to any server:
- Transactions (expenses, income, loans) — names, amounts, categories, dates
- Budgets and category spending limits
- Custom categories you create
- Starting balance
- App preferences (language, currency, dark mode, notification choice)
- App-lock PIN — stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash (SHA-256); the actual PIN is never stored and cannot be recovered from the hash
Fingerprint unlock is performed entirely by Android's own biometric system. The app never sees, stores or has access to your fingerprint data.
2. Information we do not collect
- No name, email address, phone number or account of any kind
- No contacts, photos, files, location or SMS access
- No analytics or behaviour tracking by the developer
- Your transactions, budgets and other financial entries are never shared with anyone — including the advertising partners below
3. Third-party services
The app uses the following internet services, strictly for the features below:
a) Push notifications — OneSignal (OneSignal, Inc., USA)
If push notifications are enabled, the OneSignal service processes: a push token, an anonymous device/installation identifier, IP address, device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone and coarse country derived from IP. This is used solely to deliver notifications. You can disable push notifications at any time in Settings → Push notifications, which unsubscribes the device. OneSignal's privacy policy: https://onesignal.com/privacy_policy
b) Exchange rates — ExchangeRate-API (open.er-api.com)
To show live currency conversion, the app requests a public list of exchange rates at launch. This is a standard internet request that, like any web request, exposes your IP address to that service. No personal or financial data is ever sent with it. Their privacy policy: https://www.exchangerate-api.com/privacy
c) Advertising — Google AdMob and mediation partners
The app shows ads (banner, native, interstitial and app-open formats) to keep it free. Ads are served by Google AdMob, and ad requests may also be filled through AdMob mediation by Meta Audience Network and Liftoff Monetize (Vungle).
To select, deliver, measure and prevent fraud in advertising, these partners may process data such as: your device's advertising ID, IP address, coarse location derived from IP, device model and operating system information, app identifier, and ad interaction data (views and taps). This processing happens under the ad partners' own privacy policies:
- Google AdMob / Google ads: policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Meta Audience Network: facebook.com/privacy/policy
- Liftoff Monetize: liftoff.io/privacy-policy
Your choices: In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and other regions where required, a consent form is shown before any ad is loaded, and you can decline personalised advertising. On any Android device you can also delete or reset your advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads, which limits ad personalisation system-wide.
Your transactions, budgets, balances and every other financial entry are stored only on your device and are never shared with any advertising partner.
d) Remote configuration — Firebase Remote Config (Google)
The app fetches a small remote configuration (for example, which ad formats are enabled) from Google Firebase at launch. This request uses a random Firebase installation identifier and does not include any personal or financial data. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
The developer does not receive data from these services beyond aggregate delivery and performance statistics.
4. Permissions used
- Internet — only for the two services described above
- Notifications (Android 13+) — only if you enable push notifications or the optional daily reminder
- Biometric — only if you enable fingerprint unlock
5. Data export and sharing
You may export your data as a CSV or PDF file, or create a full backup file (JSON) for your own safekeeping. Files are generated on your device and shared only through the Android share sheet with apps you choose. Restoring a backup reads a file you select and never involves any server. The developer never receives exported or backup files.
6. Data retention and deletion
All app data lives on your device. Deleting a transaction removes it immediately. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all locally stored data. To remove push-notification data held by OneSignal, disable notifications in the app before uninstalling, or contact us and we will request deletion of the anonymous identifier.
7. Security
Data is stored in the app's private storage area, protected by Android's application sandbox. Optional PIN and fingerprint locks add protection if your device is shared. Please also use a device screen lock.
8. Children
Amonta is a general-audience finance tool and is not directed at children under 13. The developer collects no personal information from any user, and the app is listed for mature audiences on Google Play.
9. Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we will update this policy and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be noted in the app's store listing.
10. Contact
